being that discs and bags ect. are cheap and all it takes is a field to throw some discs in to see how they all fly, i thought it might be cool to get together
wth play it again or sports authority and get them to bring out one or two of each disc from disccraft and innova and let people throw them. also bring out a
few hundered discs with multiples of the main ones (aviar, leopard, roc, wraith and similars from disccraft) that are for sale. wouldn't take much, could
sell them out of some sort of portable stand or jsut out of the back of an SUV or something. we could have a few of our local pros come out for a few hours and
do some demonstrations on how particular discs work and what each is designed for and how to throw the basic shots. Just something to get more people
interested in the sport and... heres the advantage... maybee play it again would be willing to put like 1 dollar for each disc sold towards funds for new
courses or making the local courses we allready have better (adding holes, course maintenance ect..) or maybe 1 dollar for the 9.99 discs and 2 dollars for the
21.00 discs or something.
I thought up as i was trying to figure a way to get the back 9 in at alcantra. thoguht about how there are those huge soccer fields right next to the course, nice big parkinglot ect. Seems liek awin win for play it again as they get more recognition for disc golf and thier stores, the disc manufacturers sell discs, the golfers get to try different discs in the soccer fields like a drive before you buy thing and the courses get improved upon. and the more peole we get involved in our fine sport the more people come to tourneys and the bigger the prizes are ect.
