The team of Brandon and Andy (from Denali Park) finished with a -11 from whites and playing holes #1 and 2 twice to make up for missing #8 & 9. Andy Severson and I nabbed second place with a pair of birdies on the last two holes to finish with a -8.

We had 8 players show up to celebrate a new high temp record for the day (72F!). Finally some summer weather (and mosquitoes). Pro-Am doubles was the game this week. Brandon and I finished with -12 from reds, which was good for first place, despite the one stroke penalty given because apparently I'm too good to be considered the "am" part of the "pro-am" team, despite my seriously advanced years and significantly weaker arm. Chuck/Greg Roberts finished second with -9.
The basket is back at #8, so we threw from whites across the dirt field, and made it 18 holes by playing the original #9 off the bunker near the white tee for #17. Playing this way there's a pretty good flow to the course and should work for the time being (until soccer field construction starts up again). Ace fund is up to $41 for next week. |

9 players showed last night...Yes, we play in the rain and the wind...This is Alaska, right? 3 teams tied at -7 from the whites with John and Brandon winning in a playoff. Next week the ace fund is at $38, it seems we made a mistake on the number last week. See you there!

We play in the wind and we play in the rain. 11 of us showed to play in some nasty weather last night. We alternated reds and whites. Cameron and Louie won $12 shooting -6 while Mike and I won $8 shooting -5. We welcomed a new member, Mike Todd from Pensacola FL who was up here with the Blue Angels for a week and decided to support the club by becoming a member. Nice! BTW...He cashed. Next week the ace fund goes up to $122. See you there!

9 of us played last night, 10 if you count Brandon #2. Brandon payed twice and it payed off for him because his alter ego is one good golfer! We played the first 6 from the reds, the second 6 from the whites and the last 6 from the blues. Brandon's -9 won $12, while John and Sarah won $8 shooting -8.
Due to an accounting error last week the ace fund is actually $148 next week. We will be starting play at 6pm next week! See you there... ChuckD. |

10 of showed last night to play some doubles. We played some reds, some blues and some whites. Brandon #1 and Sarah decided not to birdie any reds, then Brandon #2 showed up and they birdied all the whites and a couple blues shooting -7 winning $12. I think Cameron and his partner took second shooting -5. Next week the ace fund goes up to $158!

Oh what a night! Thousands of people showed up Wed to watch us get our round under way. Actually Kincaid was celebrating their 20th year with parks and rec. Alaska Disc Golf was representing by having a table set up in the chalet, and then before the round started we had an announcment made over the PA. All in all it was a great night. 9 of us showed up to play, Cameron brought his alter ego along to partner with and make 10. Good thing he did because the 2 Cameron's ended up shooting digits (-10) to win $12, second place went to Louie and Sarah shooting -7 winning $8. Next Week the ace fund is at $168!
I'll be thinking of you guys and gals while diving the Barrier reef off of Belize...On second thought, I won't be thinking of you at all! Have a good round... ChuckD. |

This was the last night of Wed Night Doubles for the 2006 Season. 10 of us played in HEAVY Rain and towards the end of the round we played in pitch black darkness. The only thing that saved us was that #1 is kinda lit so we played it 3 times to make up for the now missing #16 and #17. All in all it was a fitting end to the season and reinforced our mantra, "Yes, we play in the rain!" We decided to roll the ace fund into Saturday League so stay tuned there because the courses can change weekly. Have a great Winter we will see you next Spring!
