Homer 4/20 Tourney |
Lead | |
|
The Moose Pretzel in Homer will be hosting its first tourney of the year on Sunday April 20th. The tourney will be a fun way for us to kick of the season and
we should have some great prize packages to give out. This tourney will most likely be an all day 36-hole event and will not be PDGA sanctioned. There is
currently a couple of feet of snow on the course, so snowshoes or winter boots may be necessary. I will post more detailed information soon.

I can't wait for the season opener down at the Pretzel!
If anyone from Anchorage is going to head south for this event and wants to carpool then please post here!

Tourney Time | ||
|
The Moose Pretzel 4th Annual 420 Tourney is going down in Homer on Sunday April 20th. This will be a non-sanctioned fundraiser event to secure funds for course
development and improvement. Registration will begin at 10 AM, the player's meeting will be at 10:45, and start time for the first round will be at 11 AM.
The first round will be 18 holes and the second round will be 9 holes for a total of 27 holes. There will be a lunch break between rounds. Entry fee will be
$25, there will be an ace pot, and we will also be selling mulligans. Prizes will include the all-new Moose Pretzel hoodies. There is still 2-3 feet of snow on
the course so snow shoes or at least winter boots and gators are recommended. If you have any questions call or email me. Edan 399-4810 edanori@hotmail.com

Pretzel Update | ||
|
There is still plenty of frosting on the pretzel, at least two feet of snow. The course is playing well right now as the snow is pretty solid with a wind blown
crust on top. I am still thinking it will be a snow shoe tourney but I don't think it will be too difficult to get around. The forecast is calling for
partly cloudy conditions with highs in the 40s. Also, Jud will be providing a propane grill for the lunch break and I will be supplying some salmon for folks.
Please bring anything else you would like to throw on the grill. There will be a saturday afternoon/evening practice round for those interested. See you on
Sunday!

420 Thank You | ||
|
Big Thanks to all the folks who came out for the 420 Tourney. There was good weather, good food, and most importantly good golf. Congratulations to Jen and
Brandon who both overcame deficits to claim victory in the Ladies and Intermediate divisions. I was somehow able to use the home course advantage to post a -5
and win the Advanced division. Jud and Thad tied for second at -3. Next tourney at the Pretzel will be the Homer City Championships in early June. I will post
more info soon. Thanks Again, Edan
