The Saturday Skins Game at Westchester will start at 10am sharp. Anyone who can't make it to Peter's Creek for League play is welcome to attend. This skins format will be 25 cents per hole, no accumulative score, no penalties. 18 holes with one at the parking lot and two through the tunnel and up the hill and on to the back of the course twice. The last five holes will be the woods and gazebo holes twice and the alternate #1. There are no penalties for being late or leaving early. We will start on time and finish before noon. timk 272-0515

I will be working on Saturdays until 12/24. Is anyone up for skins on December 24th? If so, "Noon at the Goon" on Christmas Eve for skins. timk

Hey gang. My Saturdays are filling up with work so I'll have to cancel my part in the Saturday Skins game. Any one want to start later, like 3pm or switch to sundays? timk

I would love to see someone start a Sunday League. We discussed at the meeting that it would be great to have someone running a league with an ace pot every day of the week. Saturday League just contributed over $100 to the club just from winter play. The important thing is that if you want run a league that a dollar or two from every player go to the club. You don't have to compete for money or even build an ace fund, although I think the ace fund is good for attracting players.

Great conditions, we kept all of our discs. Six of us played partners. Ken and Don took 12 skins. A little too much overflow in the last tunnel so watch out. Hope to see more of you next saturday, noon at the Goon for skins. timk

Great conditions exist at the goon. Greg shoveled the pads off. Thanks Greg. Three showed for skins. We had so much fun we just kept our quarters in our pockets. Plan your saturdays for Noon at the Goon skins. Rain or shine, sleet or hail, snow or cold the game will go on. timk

I would like to play sunday golf on a regular basis and my preference would be at Peter's Creek (PC). PC is not as snow bound as you think (Kincaid is worse) because me and Jon Tomko have been going out regular enough to break trail on the fairways and shovel the tee pads. Louie and Zach were out there for a few weeks before that. OK, I know, spotting with only 2 or 3 guys in deep snow is a workout (I lost 5 pounds today), and spotting IS mandatory to insure no lost discs, but we do it. Keep in mind most of the fairways are short, except for 4,8,15, so the extra walking is minimal. No fairway or rough is over shin deep and we even saw other golfers' tracks today! Also, the winter setting there is spectacular with the creek high and frozen(but you can still hear running water) and the big trees bent over with heavy snow. So bring a camera, a positive attitude, and enjoy disc golf unique to our area before it melts away. I know gas prices are an issue due to the drive. I think carpooling can solve that with adequate coordination. Greg R
